Quality of Life of Seniors in the 21st Century


The main objective of the conference was to identify the most important factors determining the quality of life of present and future seniors and specify those actions that should be taken to improve the quality of life of the oldest Poles.

The inevitable increase in the percentage of elderly people in Poland and Europe in the coming years entails various consequences of the demographic, social, economic, cultural, medical nature, especially that in the near future the pace of this process is bound to accelerate.

The intention of the organizers of the conference was to enable the exchange of ideas between people who are professionally concerned with the problems of population aging, aging and older people, including both researchers in variety of scientific disciplines and practitioners.
